Update: All 13 Persons Rescued from Thai Cave on Third Day Operation

Thailand - "All 13 are outside. They are currently at the field hospital close to the cave ", says Tossathep Boonthong, head of the health authorities of Chiang Rai who is part of the rescue team. "We will examine them physically. They are not yet on their way to the Chiang Rai hospital. "


The rescue operation started on Sunday morning at 5.30 am. Then eighteen divers were sent into the cave to save the boys. The rescue workers have trained for three to four days. There are thirteen foreigners among the divers. The boys in the cave have been informed of the operation. The first group may be outside in the late afternoon at the end of the afternoon. Depending on the weather, the entire operation can take three to four days.
 

The boys and trainer divided into four groups and then brought out by divers. The first group consists of four boys, the others of three people. The trainer will go with the last group. Each boy will be accompanied by two divers.Thai media report the first rescue. At the cave helicopters and thirteen ambulances are ready to assist the twelve football players and their coach (25).


The boys are part of a youth football team that disappeared on June 23 during a visit to the cave complex. Divers found the twelve boys and their trainer only last week back. They are stuck at about 4 kilometers from the entrance.


The footballers sent letters to their parents and relatives on Saturday. The coach of the football team has apologized to the parents in a letter, reports BBC. It is the first time that they could make contact with their parents. The letters state that they should not worry. "We are all strong." The young people also ask for food, including fried chicken, and one asks his teacher not to give them too much homework.


If all the football players are rescued today, they have been imprisoned for sixteen days in the Tham Luang Cave, in the northern province of Chiang Rai. What happened on that day and during the following days?
